Responsibilities:
Provide companionship for a young, special needs adult by planning events and outings in the community.
Support the individual's personal and interpersonal growth by providing stimulating conversation and by attending social activities.
Be a role model for this individual as you help them to improve their quality of life.
Applicants must complete a daily log and written progress report in an electronic record system.
Job Requirements:
DSP must possess a clean drivers' record with fewer than 5 points.
DSP must be willing to drive the individual's personal van (handicap accessible) in a responsible and safe manner.
Basic computer skills High School Diploma or GED Minimum 18 years of age (female only) Direct Care (1 year preferred) Successful clearance of state and federal background checks as well as drug testing.
